We make as much as possible ourselves — like our mac & cheese from scratch — so there are little to no preservatives and no added sugar.

We gently regulate sleep because it’s good for them, but we honour their bodies. Tired? They sleep anytime. Not tired? Quiet play in another room.

Our big garden classroom
We have a LARGE home vegetable garden and it’s a core part of our day in spring and Summer. The children help if they want to — digging, watering, picking.
Getting fresh vegetables straight from the garden to the plate is magical.

Buttercup is run from our family home. I started it because I wanted a place where children are treated exactly how I would want my own children treated — with patience, warmth, and real food.
